Beginner’s Mini-Yoga Retreat: Cultivating Health & Well-Being One Breath at a Time
Did you know that more than 30 million people between the ages of 30 and 49 in the U.S. practice yoga? With this growth in popularity yoga has become an accessible practice for many! Now that travel, budget, age, and ability are no long barriers for beginners it’s a great time to learn how to create your own home yoga practice so you can enjoy deeper sleep, less pain, more flexibility and mobility, and calmness in your mind and body.
During our one-day mini-retreat we will focus on yoga basics for health and well-being. We will explore the benefits and the science of breathing, yoga poses/stretches, and meditation. Then, through a group practice we will put into practice what we’ve learned doing various poses and stretches using various props as needed. At the end of the retreat each person will have a foundational understanding to design two yoga practices that they can safely do at home. Attendees will be provided with a yoga guide to support their retreat experience.
Please bring a pen, note pad/journal, yoga mat, a small pillow, and blanket for use during the retreat. The retreat will begin with lunch. Guided by Sherrell Moore-Tucker.
