“Experiencing Loss without Losing It”
As we age, we experience so much loss in our lives: loss of loved ones and friends; loss of pets; loss of positions of responsibility; loss of physical and cognitive abilities…just to name a few. When faced with so much loss, is there a way to experience those losses without losing ourselves in the process? This session will highlight the strategies of those who have experienced many losses and still emerged stronger. If they can do it, we can too.
Our Friends Day of Prayer retreats are held monthly on the first Wednesday of the month. Everyone is welcome to attend and you can drop into any month. It’s not required to attend every retreat. Everyone will gather for coffee and pastries for the first half hour. Dr. Pat Fosarelli will give a morning presentation, which will be followed by Mass in the chapel, a delicious lunch, and then she will give an afternoon presentation. Free time will be offered to walk the labyrinth, spend quiet time in prayer or shop in the bookstore. Guided by Dr. Pat Fosarelli.
