Dealing with Expectations: Seeing New Opportunities for Joyful Living
The life of a Christian is filled with different expectations, expectations from church, community, family, and/or even from self. Sometimes these expectations become an obstacle to truly knowing our purpose. As such, we lose the purpose and joy of living in the moment, the joy of true happiness. How do we turn these expectations into new opportunities for joyful living using biblical experiences? This retreat will explore ways to deal with both spiritual and social expectations and how to turn them into exciting new opportunities for purposeful, joyful living. Guided by Rev. Hamilton Okeke.
Our Friends Day of Prayer retreats are held monthly on the first Wednesday of the month. Everyone is welcome to attend and you can drop into any month. It’s not required to attend every month. Rev. Hamilton will give this month’s morning presentation, celebrate Mass, and then a delicious lunch will be served in our dining room. There will be a short period of free time and an opportunity to shop in our bookstore and then he will give an afternoon presentation.
