The season of Lent gives us many opportunities to plant seeds in our souls that can be harvested during Easter and beyond. Using the metaphor of gardening we’ll look at places in our lives that need to be weeded, fertilized, planted with healthy seed and nurtured for robust growth. What would you like to grow in the garden of your life?
This daylong retreat will include generous amounts of silence. With the help of music, poetry and writing we will spend time in reflection, gentle discussion and walking outdoors. Please bring a journal and shoes and clothing that are suitable for being outside, should you desire.
Lunch is included. Guided by Julia Morris-Myers.
Julia Morris-Myers is a graduate of the Bon Secours Spiritual Direction Institute and Shalem’s Leading Contemplative Groups and Retreats Program.
