Before each of our staff meetings at the Retreat & Conference Center, we begin with a prayerful reflection. It isn’t uncommon for that reflection to be read from one of Sarah Young’s popular “Jesus Calling” books. These daily devotionals select a passage from Scripture and then share the author’s wisdom on how Jesus is speaking to us, making it personalized. As we worship and rest today, we hope that you will also be comforted by the Spirit.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” ~ Matthew 11:28
“Come to Me, My weary one, and I will give you rest. I know the depth and breadth of your weariness. Nothing is hidden from Me. There is a time to keep pushing yourself–when circumstances require it–and a time to rest. Even I, who have infinite energy, rested on the seventh day after completing My work of creation…I want you to know that I approve of you and I approve of rest. When you relax in My Presence, trusting in My finished work on the cross, both you and I are refreshed.” ~ Jesus Always by Sarah Young

I so loved this reflection – especially since I have been away from the Bon Secours blog for a month – busy month. Feeling weary, I remembered the blog site – and went back to where I left off – end of August – and found this perfect reflection! Thank You!
