Event Policies

Registration Policy for Events

Registration is essential due to space limitations. We register on a first come, first served basis. You are considered registered when we have a completed form and payment (deposit minimum). You may register through our website or over the phone with credit card payment or register by mailing in a check. Registrations within two weeks of the start date of the program require full payment.

Deposits for a day program are the cost of the program. A weekend program requires a $50 deposit. A retreat that involves 4 or more night stay requires $150 deposit.

Cancellation Policy for Events

A Retreat Services guest scheduled to attend any day, weekend, or weeklong retreat will receive a refund of his/her deposit minus a $25.00 fee with a minimum of 72 hours notice prior to his/her arrival date and time.

If the Retreat Services guest cancels with less than 72 hours prior to his/her attendance, the guest will be charged a cancellation fee equal to the deposit. If any additional funds were paid, any balance over the deposit rule will be refunded.

If an event is cancelled by Bon Secours Retreat & Conference Center, a full refund will be provided.

Code of Conduct

By attending a Bon Secours Retreat & Conference Center (RCC) retreat/event or utilizing our facilities with your group, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct:

The RCC seeks to provide an environment in which diverse participants may learn, network and enjoy the company of others in an environment of mutual human respect. Retreat presenters are asked to frame discussions as openly and inclusively as possible and to be aware of how language or images may be perceived by others. Likewise, it is essential for guests to have respect for retreat/event presenters and RCC staff during events and gatherings to preserve the intention and quality of their work. We recognize a shared responsibility to create and hold this environment of respect for the benefit of all. Some behaviors are, therefore, specifically prohibited:

  • Harassment or intimidation based on race, religion, language, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, appearance, or other group status.
  • Sexual harassment or intimidation, including unwelcome sexual attention, stalking (physical or virtual), or unsolicited physical contact.
  • Yelling at or threatening speakers, staff, volunteers or other guests (verbally or physically).
  • Participants should refrain from interrupting, correcting the presenter, or from providing assistance unless it has been discussed and agreed to with the event facilitators/cohosts.

Retreat & Conference Center staff may take any action they deem appropriate to maintain the energy of the retreat/event including warning the offender or expulsion from the retreat/event and property without refund. Guests asked to stop a hostile or harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Expulsion may include future visits as well.

The RCC does not have healthcare professionals on staff. Urgent medical needs will be handled through 911 and guests will agree to paramedic assessment and, if necessary, to receive treatment at a medical facility.

All guests are expected to observe these rules and behaviors in all areas of the RCC, including through online venues. Guests seek to worship, learn, network with others, and have fun. Please do so responsibly and with respect for the right of others to do likewise.
