Jackie Antkowiak, spiritual director and dear friend of the Retreat & Conference Center, passed away peacefully on Sunday. She began serving on directed retreats in 2018 and truly touched all whom she encountered with her sweet, gentle spirit. Jackie’s directees always shared their immense gratitude for her daily guidance during these retreats. She had an incredible way of making everyone feel comfortable right away. One of her recent directees commented, “Jackie is one of the most welcoming people I’ve ever met.” Others always shared their appreciation for the grace-filled spiritual direction sessions with her too. Her colleagues on these retreats also repeatedly shared how wonderful it was to work with her. Her presence will be deeply missed at our Center.

Prayer of Comfort
You hold time within your hands, and see it all, from beginning to end.
Please keep and carry these precious people in their sadness and loss.
Cover them with your great wings of love,
give their weary hearts rest and their minds sound sleep.
Lord, lift their eyes so that they may catch a glimpse of eternity,
and be comforted by the promise of heaven.
We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus.
Amen
We will miss you, Jackie…
Song of the Angels
May songs of the angels welcome you
and guide you along your way.
May the smiles of the martrys greet your own
as darkness turns into day.
Ev’ry fear will be undone
and death will be no more,
as songs of the angels bring you home
before the face of God.

I met Jackie at the Center2 years ago and she has been my director since then. The connection was instant. May she Rest In Peace
We’re so sorry for your loss, Patty. She was such a bright light during her visits to the Center. May you be comforted and held during this difficult time.
