Today’s blog is a token of gratitude from our wonderful Marketing Manager/Sales Associate, Tessa Newton, and it echoes the thoughts of the rest of our staff too. We’re so grateful for you!
My office sits squarely across from our Hospitality area on the 2nd floor. I joke that I am the Marketing Manager and Hospitality Room Attendant, as I often overhear guests wondering how to access the hot water, where the ice is, if they can have one of the pieces of fresh fruit sitting on the counter and I offer my assistance. As guests leave the Hospitality Room, they often say hello or give me a smile. On occasion, I am the person that they share their awe of this place with.
Over my 8+ years at Bon Secours, I have enjoyed hearing how much this place means to people. But I suppose that over time, I became a bit desensitized to it. These grounds are magnificent, but most of the day, I’m on the phone and on the computer. There is work to be done and day care pick-up promptly at 4:30pm. I did not carve out time to take in the beauty of our grounds.
The last year and a half of the building being a bit quieter has renewed that joy, though. I am deeply grateful for each guest that stops to say they think the grounds are beautiful, or that the coffee is nice and hot, or that their lodging room was cozy. It is so meaningful to me that of all the places someone could go, they come here.
So, thank you for being a friend of Bon Secours. Thank you for taking time to enjoy what we have here, and for commenting on how special it is. Thank you for letting us be part of your journey, because we cherish our visitors and guests. Always.
