Snow is covering the grass and trees in Marriottsville – our first significant snow in a couple years. It is majestic! Below is a prayer about the winter months, reminding us to look for the beauty of God’s handiwork.
Gracious Lord, as winter blankets the land with its beauty, I am reminded of your majesty and creativity. Help me to see your handiwork in the glistening snowflakes, the frost-covered trees, and the quiet stillness of the season.
Lord, I pray that you would open my eyes to the hidden treasures and beauty that can be found in this season. In the midst of the cold and darkness, help me to find moments of wonder and awe that draw me closer to you.
As I witness the earth going through a season of rest, I am reminded of your provision and care for all of creation. Teach me to appreciate the rhythm of the seasons and to trust in your sovereignty over all things.
Lord, I offer you my gratitude for the beauty that surrounds me in winter. May the wonder of your creation inspire me to worship you and to see your magnificence in every aspect of my life.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
