What does it mean to live as the fruit of the Spirit in today’s world? Are there actions or spiritual practices that can deepen our ability to bring these fruits into the world? In this retreat, we will use John 15 as our guide and inspiration: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
During our time together, we will explore this dramatic statement of Jesus and discern its meaning for our lives. We will write, listen, talk, and spend generous amounts of time in silence opening to the Spirit. Poetry, scripture, music, and nature will accompany us. This retreat is for anyone wanting to foster a deeper connection to the Spirit in their life.
Check-in begins at 4pm. There will be a brief welcome session at 5:30pm, followed by dinner at 6pm. The retreat begins after dinner at 7pm on Friday and concludes before lunch on Sunday. Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel on Sunday morning for those who would like to attend. Guided by Julia Morris-Myers.
