Excavate Your Soul
A sabbatical is a sacred pause: a chance to listen beneath the surface of everyday life and notice what has been buried under busyness and achievement. Modern research similarly frames sabbaticals as more than time away: they can support mental and physical well-being, creativity, confidence, new perspectives, and profound personal and/or professional shifts.
Summer Sabbatical is for anyone who yearns to step away from the constant hum of productivity and begin the deeper work of remembering who they are. A major cornerstone of the retreat will be a digital detox. Participants will turn off devices in favor of research-backed, time-honored modalities that support the brain and body. Across three spacious days, Summer Sabbatical invites you to answer larger questions: What am I here to do? What big dreams do I have? What am I being called toward? What needs to be let go? What systems can support me? Blending solitude, thought-provoking exercises, reflective journaling, long-term planning, yoga, meditation, nature, community, and meaningful sharing, this retreat creates room for clarity to emerge. Expect to dream big and brainstorm with an eye to the future. You will not be inundated with heavy professional development. Instead, plan to “excavate your soul” through a series of guided exercises that allow you to tune into that deep and lasting wisdom that has always been inside of you. You will leave not merely refreshed, but reoriented with a renewed understanding of the life you are meant to live and a fleshed-out plan to help get you there.
Meals and lodging are included. Check-in begins at 4pm. There will be a brief welcome session at 5:30pm, followed by dinner at 6pm. The retreat begins after dinner at 7pm on Friday and concludes after lunch at 1pm on Sunday. Mass will be available Sunday morning for those who wish to attend.
