Spiritual Direction/Companioning has a centuries old history and can be found in many faith traditions. Spiritual direction or spiritual companionship is a process guided by the Holy Spirit in which two people enter into a unique conversation. The spiritual director or guide is trained to listen in a particular way to hear where God is present and acting in the life of another. This “holy listening” approaches each person’s life and story as sacred.
The Bon Secours Retreat & Conference Center offers the opportunity for you to meet with a spiritual director in a private space at our Center. The director can accompany you on your spiritual journey. Compassionate and confidential care is provided so that you can discuss where you are on your journey and where God desires you to be.
Some people meet with a spiritual director on a regular basis and enjoy doing so at our Center. Others enjoy meeting with a director when they are on retreat a few times throughout the year.
To obtain a list of recommended, trained spiritual directors who meet with directees at our Center, please call 410-442-3120. Our staff can share the list with you, and your director will reserve space to meet with you. Rates vary.
