Caring, Healing, Curing: How Our Patients (and Healthcare Providers) Yearn for All Three
So often, the healthcare system can be burdensome for both patients and their healthcare providers to navigate with grace — so many needs, so many rules, so many patients, so few providers, so little time. This one-day retreat for healthcare providers will focus on caring as the heart of the patient-provider relationship and how such caring can help foster curing (when possible) and healing — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Emphasis will be on the Christian and Jewish traditions, although other religious traditions will also be included as warranted. Lunch is included. Guided by Dr. Pat Fosarelli.
Patricia Fosarelli, MD, D.Min. is Director of the Masters in Christian Ministries program at St. Mary’s Ecumenical Institute in Baltimore, Maryland where she also teaches Spirituality and Practical Theology.
