Losing weight often makes us feel better, but what is even more health-promoting is the benefit of losing the emotional and spiritual baggage that drags us down. This day of retreat will examine the reasons we can’t (or won’t) let go of emotional and spiritual baggage, the benefits of doing so, and the ways to finally let it all go and lean into God’s dream for us. The day will include presentation, discussion and time for reflection. Guided by Dr. Pat Fosarelli.
Dr. Patricia Fosarelli is Director of the Masters in Christian Ministries program and teaches Spirituality and Practical Theology at St. Mary’s Ecumenical Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. She holds her M.D. from the University of Maryland; M.A. from St. Mary’s Seminary & University; and D.Min. from Wesley Theological Seminary.
