Spiritual Direction and Mental Health Issues 

This virtual continuing education workshop for spiritual directors will focus on mental health issues such as depression, addiction, anxiety, and the trauma of abuse and their effects on the spiritual life. These factors are present — named or unspoken — in the lives of many of our directees. The Zoom presentation will include time for discussion. 

This is a virtual program, open to all spiritual directors. A Zoom Meeting link will be emailed to registered participants by Friday, November 22, 2024. When registering, please be sure to include the correct email address to which the Zoom link should be sent. 

Kathleen Hope Brown, D.Min. is Director of Pastoral Care Services at the Saint Luke Institute in Silver Spring, Maryland. Her doctorate in Adult Spiritual Formation is from Catholic University.  She lectures on spiritual direction in programs throughout the country.
